Asteroids, Minor and Dwarf Planets

Asteroids, “Minor Planets” and “Dwarf Planets” aren’t really talked about in astrology, but they are equally as important. They take up small, specific areas in our lives. These asteroids and bodies add some extra knowledge to the already talked about luminaries and planets. Below is a list of the few, more important and commonly used asteroids and bodies.

Chiron
Chiron is symbolized by “the wounded healer”, so Chiron indeed represents healing as well as suffering. It is representative of our deepest wounds and what area of our life we hurt or suffer the most. Do not look at this entirely bad because we can heal others through our own strength and understanding of what we have been through.

Ceres
Ceres is symbolized or known as “the Earth Mother” because in our charts, it shows how we like to be nurtured and how we nurture others. It is how we deal with self-esteem issues since it shows how and what we need to feel loved and accepted.

Pallas Athena
Pallas Athena or “Pallas” is intelligence as well as creativity. It’s a nice balance between the Mind and the Heart. Pallas in your chart will show us where your talents lie, your personal power, where your strengths lie and where your natural intelligence unfolds.

Juno
Juno is also referred to as the “soulmate asteroid”. While Venus attracts, Juno seals the deal. It is commitment, true love, marriage and intimacy. Juno will show you, in your chart, how you approach commitment and intimacy.

Vesta
Vesta is also symbolized or known as “the Virgin Goddess” and represents the self as a whole and it’s needs. It is representative of security, personal potential, devotion, passion, sexuality, home and organization. Where we usually find our sense of self, self-love and respect as well as identity is found in Vesta.

Eros
Eros is love and sex. If you didn’t think those two could ever come together, Eros makes it work. It rules passion more than anything, and it awakens our sexual desire, creativity, romance and playful love.

Psyche
Psyche is considered to be the “soul”, the mind and the self. It is of importance and is also seen as a relationship asteroid that can deal with karmic issues.
